What are we raising funds for?
Mercer SuperCycle’s primary charity partner is The Hospital Research Foundation. Together we are raising much-needed funds to build family-style accommodation in Adelaide for country cancer patients as part of a project called “Under Our Roof”.
The idea for Under Our Roof was born from an issue vocalised by clinicians that cancer patients from rural areas have limited family accommodation options when needing to travel to Adelaide for treatment.
Since inception in 2011, SuperCycle has raised over $2.6 million, funding the purchase of land and construction of the two purpose-built Under Our Roof homes in Woodville, as well as a third apartment currently under construction in Bowden due to be completed in August 2021.
In our 10th year, Mercer SuperCycle aims to raise $250,000 to achieve the purchase of land and build of a fourth much-needed Under Our Roof home.
At the end of Mercer SuperCycle 2021 our goal is to achieve – “10 Years, 4 homes, $2.8 million raised to support people with cancer.”
